Escape Plan

I have lots of questions. Mostly about what you do with my life. So I do what all millennials do, I Google it.

This is where Mark Manson came into my life. I freaking love his blog.

I’ve pretty much read every blog post and bought his book. I love his work. So I stumbled upon this post. I recall grabbing my notebook and writing these questions down:

If time and money were no object, where would you go in your wildest travel dreams?

  • Thailand beaches and explore more cities
  • South Korea. Party my ass off and EAT.
  • Ride a motorbike everywhere – Italy and Vietnam
  • Brazil. Beaches. Booty.
  • Budapest. Baths! Booze tour
  • Work as a Zumba instructor at hostels & all-inclusive resorts

How would your life change if you were to travel like this?

I’d be even more adaptive to change. I’d be healthier in my body and soul. I’d break out of monotonous routine. I’d have more friends all over the world.

What major thing is holding you back?

Fear of the unknown. Not having a steady steam of income cause I don’t want to rely on savings.

The course by Mr. Manson isn’t free after that but it really makes you look at your goals with new eyes. The first section is about how to minimize and simplify your lifestyle in order to achieve these aspirations. (Sounds familiar!) The articles go on and he teaches you how to make it count when traveling. I really hope that one day, I can escape, too.

What’s your escape plan?
